For the past eight years, we’ve provided video production services for Wichita State Athletics. In addition to executive producing sporting events and creating video segments, we like to show our Shocker pride in other ways. We had a great time at the January 21st men’s basketball game as the media sponsor. We’re happy to partner with a great organization. Go Shocks!
WSU Basketball Team Introduction
There’s always a lot of buzz surrounding the WSU Men’s Basketball Open. People want to know: what is it that’s going to get the crowd pumped up this season? It’s our job to produce a video that’s going to get people out of their seats, on their feet and cheering for the Shockers before the team gets introduced at Koch Arena. This spot, featuring the voice of head coach Gregg Marshall, does just that. Watch it here and the next time that you’re out supporting the Shocks.

The American Red Cross Heroes Breakfast is a second annual event that recognizes local citizens for their acts of great bravery, dedication and service to Wichita. As the video sponsor of this December 14th fundraiser, we’re producing the heartfelt stories of local individuals whose extraordinary acts of courage or kindness make them a hero. All proceeds from the Heroes Breakfast will directly support the Midway-Kansas Chapter’s programs and services that help more than 91,000 local people each year. Visit the Red Cross website for more information and to purchase tickets. See you there!
That’s a wrap!
We recently wrapped a fun week of filming a 30-second and 60-second commercial for Kansas Strong, a nonprofit organization voluntarily funded by oil and natural gas producers in Kansas. We spent five action-packed days shooting on location from an oil rig in the Gypsum Hills of central Kansas to downtown Wichita. We even made the front page news in Pratt! Watch for the debut of “American Security” in late November or early December.
Donnelly College
Donnelly College was founded in 1949 to meet the needs of urban immigrants and the working class, with a special focus on students who would not otherwise be able to attend college. Donnelly continues to transform the lives of not only the students, but their families and future generations. That’s why, when they asked us to put together a video for their annual Scholarship Dinner to honor Henry Bloch, it was a no-brainer. The dinner was attended by nearly 600 Kansas Citians and was successful in honoring Mr. Bloch, the founder of the Henry W. Bloch Scholars program, as well as raising scholarship money to fund their mission. In the video we created for the dinner, we showcased several of the amazing stories from the Bloch Scholars and heard how their lives were changed by the education they were able to receive because of the funding. We also had the honor of interviewing Mr. Bloch himself! Fun fact: H&R Block prepares 1 in every 7 U.S. tax returns. And for those of us less familiar with the workings of the tax world, that’s a lot.
All that to say, thank you Donnelly College for letting us be a part of your event!

Sedgwick County Zoo’s largest fundraising effort, Zoobilee, took place on September 10th. Attendees get to check out the animal exhibits while listening to live music and feasting on food and drinks from some of Wichita’s favorite restaurants. Proceeds from the event go to support the daily operation of the zoo and it always proves to be a wild time. We were happy to take part in producing this commercial for the fun event.
The Party from the 3rd Dimension
Get ready to strap on some 3D glasses and see an Intake Studios party in another dimension. We just picked up a 3D camera rig – what better reason to celebrate?!
We’ll have test clips running on the monitors in the studio and we’ll be shooting the antics of the night in 3D and will post it after the event so you can relive the night in all its multi-dimensional glory.
Don’t worry about bringing 3D glasses, we’ll have plenty of those for you. Come eat, drink and have a great time as we enjoy a party in the 3rd dimension!
Devil Doggin’
Here’s a great behind the scenes look of a shoot that we did for our client, WorldEx Aviation and their Learjet 60 airplane. While Todd was shooting air-to-air footage of the Learjet, another passenger who was riding along in the B-25 bomber shot what you see in this video. Max Haynes, the producer of the video, shows off the perspective that he captured with a GoPro camera mounted on his helmet along with stills that he photographed. World Ex will be using the Learjet as an air ambulance, but on this day in June, it was a photographer’s paradise.
Playtime
Step into a world as seen through the eyes of a child in this spot that we produced for Media Partners for their client Botanica, a themed garden and regional horticultural center. A child’s voice narrates this commercial that illustrates the Downing Children’s Garden as a storybook come to life. The educational playground is seen from the viewpoint of young minds as they learn and explore nature through tree creatures, a musical maze and a plaza about Kansas history. The simplistic visual presentation along with a playful theme and whimsical motion graphics make this a beautiful piece to watch. Enjoy.
KC Open House Party!
Intake Studios (the who) just moved the KC studio to the Crossroads District (the where). To celebrate our new studio (the why), we are inviting our faves (this is where you come in!) to come check it out during First Friday (the when: June 3rd). There will be video games, beer, and bites of some sort. The moral of the story is, you really need to come check it out, meet the beard and the blonde (if you haven’t already) along with the rest of the crew, enjoy a beverage, maybe play a game and then get on your way!
Head on over to our Facebook event page and get yourself signed up.
