heath balderston

PRINCIPAL/executive creative director/Spin Master

Someone has to steer this ship of misfits, and that task belongs to this guy. Leading the creative charge since Intake began in 2004, Heath brings his vast background of art, design, branding, identity, interactive and motion to every project.

While focusing on the creative direction of the company, he also puts equal focus on business development and client relations.

In his spare time, he enjoys scouring thrift stores for original art to add to Intake’s personal collection. And as an avid music lover (with no real musical abilities) Heath lives his musical fantasies out through his vinyl collection...which is quickly approaching the 7,000 mark.

Heath and his wife Jamie are the proud parents of 2 human children (or adults now) and 2 canine kiddos.

Craig Johns

managing pRODUCER/PONTOON BOAT CAPTAIN

For over 20 years, Craig has produced and guided teams through hundreds of productions: from web content and training videos, to nationally broadcast commercials and live television shows. His client list includes AMC Theatres, PBS, Discovery Channel, National Geographic, ESPN, and many others.

Craig works directly with Intake’s clients, taking their video content or design projects from inception, all the way through to final delivery. He brings productions in on budget and on target, without limiting artistic vision or creative integrity.

When not working, you’ll most likely find Craig floating away the hours on the lake he calls home. He apologizes for what you might have heard him say while docking the boat.

Craig currently make his home at Lake Waukomis, MO with his wife, Sara and daughter, Evelyn.

Eron-Orange_v02.jpg

ERON RAWSON

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY/SENIOR EDITOr/the flyer

Eron brings to Intake extensive experience in Commercial Production, Film, Multi-Camera Broadcast and Audio Production.

He’s been actively engaged in media production for over 20 years. It might have started with music, sharing the stage with touring bands and covering the midwest with sweet sultry rock bass tones. It continued with being at the helm in recording over a hundred local/regional projects to satisfy the creating desire through college. At Wichita State University as a Communications major, it really took off delving into his study of visual media and production. Often finding it hard to say no to any project he could get attached to, every new path he saw as a new experience to learn, grow and gain new knowledge from. After graduating, he put the desire to create and the passion to problem solve to work in regional broadcast and commercial production.

Since landing at Intake, he’s been able to guide clients through pre-production planning, technical execution on set and incredibly efficient post-production workflows to meet otherwise mind-bending deadlines on budget. He believes there’s no job too small in any part of the process. He’s always at the ready to attack a new concept in an unconventional way.

Eron enjoys time at home with his wife Kelsey and daughters Kayla & Rylee. He’s also a dog dad to Stella and Scout, an avid hockey fan (Let’s go Flyers!), plays bass and guitar, can build a computer from the ground up, whips up a wicked pumpkin pie, has an affinity for green chiles and street tacos, and is always up for a craft beer tasting (only about 2,000 in at this point).

Alex-lens.jpg

ALEX SCHNEIDER

CINEMATOGRAPHER/EDITOR/SOCIAL MANAGER/OREO MONSTER

Alex has been filming and editing for 11 years now, but even before then he has had a passion for the industry. At an early age he grew up wanting to be an actor, but once he got behind a camera and created short films he knew where his true talents were. Since then Alex has worked on creating and crafting video content for clients that exceeds their needs.

He knows the importance of telling a story, especially with video, and gives 100% from conceptualizing all the way down to exporting. He thrives on it.

The constant joker, he loves telling stories, making people laugh, taking photographs, traveling, oreos, and most importantly spending time with his wife, Erin and puppy, Luna.

BRANDON DUNCAN

ART DIRECTOR/BEAT JUNKIE

Brandon Duncan's role at Intake is to find ways to take the ideas and needs of a project and execute them in reality in a way that is both functional and as visually beautiful as possible. He enjoys working in both 2D and 3D and finding creative ways to mix the two.

He has been working professionally in the field of motion graphics since 2010 and still gets a thrill every time he can help build something out of nothing.

Rylee-Keyboard.jpg

RYLEE DULANEY

EDITOR/EXPERT IN BIRD LAW

Rylee, Intake’s newest editor, began shooting and editing video for fun in 2010, pursued video production as a career in 2017, and graduated from Wichita State University in December of 2018.

As an editor, he works hard to provide professional, purposeful video content in a timely manner that satisfies the client’s expectations.

Other passions include songwriting, playing piano, journalism, watching bad movies, and drinking 7-and-7’s. He and his girlfriend are on a questionable mission to see as many Frank Lloyd Wright structures as possible, despite having no background or strong interest in architecture.

He also alleges that he’s a pretty cool guy. Currently, no credible evidence exists to support this claim and the investigation remains open.
